Project Manager
Grove Labs, a subsidiary of Steakhouse Financial
About the Company
Grove Labs is a blockchain research and development organization focused on next‑generation decentralized credit infrastructure. As a subsidiary of Steakhouse Financial, Grove Labs designs and builds the Grove Protocol; an institutional‑grade credit platform that acts as a liquidity engine for decentralized finance and a capital highway between DeFi and traditional markets.
Operating as a “Star” within the Sky Ecosystem (formerly MakerDAO), Grove helps protocols, DAOs, asset managers, and institutions deploy capital into diversified, tokenized credit strategies, creating more efficient, programmable, and transparent global credit markets.
We are assembling a multidisciplinary team across credit, engineering, risk, and governance to shape the future of institutional DeFi.
About the Role
As Project Manager for Grove Protocol, you will be responsible for orchestrating the projects that bring new assets, strategies, and partners onto the protocol and route capital to them. Your primary mandate is to ensure that Grove’s capital allocation workflows—from idea to governance approval to onchain deployment—are predictable, well‑coordinated, and highly efficient.
You will coordinate a cross‑functional pod including Engineering, Risk, Governance, and Strategy, as well as external stakeholders such as asset managers, service providers, and ecosystem partners. You’ll design and maintain the processes, cadences, and artifacts that allow these groups to move quickly while upholding rigorous risk and governance standards.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
Own project planning and execution for asset onboarding and capital allocation initiatives across Grove Protocol.
Build and maintain a unified view of the pipeline of assets, strategies, and counterparties being evaluated for integration.
Translate strategic goals into clear project plans with milestones, owners, and success metrics.
Ensure cross‑functional alignment and unblock teams so critical launches and allocations happen on schedule.
Own the asset onboarding pipeline
Map and maintain the end‑to‑end process for onboarding new assets and strategies—from initial diligence through risk assessment, governance, integration, legal onboarding, and go‑live.
Track key milestones (e.g., risk sign‑off, legal review, governance proposals, technical integration, testing, deployment) and proactively manage dependencies and risks.
Lead cross‑functional project delivery
Coordinate Engineering, Risk, Governance, and Strategy to deliver on protocol, product, and capital allocation roadmaps.
Run recurring project ceremonies (stand‑ups, planning, retros, risk reviews) and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities and status.
Enable smooth and efficient capital allocation
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Grove Protocol can route capital into approved strategies on time and at the right scale.
Coordinate with Engineering and Data teams on monitoring and reporting requirements (TVL, utilization, concentration, limits, and risk metrics) for new allocations.
Design and improve operational processes
Create and maintain playbooks, checklists, and templates for asset onboarding, partner integrations, and capital deployments.
Identify bottlenecks and failure points; implement process improvements that increase speed while preserving rigor and control.
Interface with governance and ecosystem stakeholders
Partner with Governance and Strategy teams to plan governance proposal timelines related to new assets, limits, or program changes.
Ensure project plans factor in community feedback, governance cycles, and required communication to the Sky Ecosystem and other partners.
Drive transparency and communication
Produce clear, concise updates for internal leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., status reports, dashboards, memos).
Keep leadership informed of trade‑offs, escalations, and decisions required to maintain momentum.
Institutionalize best practices
Champion project management standards and tooling across Grove Labs (roadmapping, issue tracking, documentation, risk registers).
Help define and track KPIs around operational efficiency, time‑to‑onboard, time‑to‑allocate, and capital utilization.
What we’re looking for
5+ years of experience in project, program, or operations management in one or more of: fintech, capital markets, asset management, DeFi/crypto, or high‑growth technology.
Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑stakeholder projects with significant financial or technical dimensions.
Strong understanding of credit or structured products, capital allocation workflows, or real‑world asset (RWA) structures; familiarity with DeFi, DAOs, and tokenized assets is a strong plus.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Risk, Legal/Compliance, Product, Strategy) and external partners simultaneously.
Excellent organizational skills: you’re comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder groups without losing detail or momentum.
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complexity into actionable plans for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Comfort with data and metrics: you can work with dashboards, spreadsheets, and basic analytics to inform decisions and track progress.
Proactive, ownership‑oriented mindset: you spot issues early, escalate when needed, and drive toward outcomes rather than just managing tasks.
Experience with governance‑driven environments (e.g., DAOs, boards, investment committees) is a plus.
Detailed oriented with the ability to produce flawless deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders.
